Reef Kalkwasser is a pure calcium hydroxide with unsurpassed purity and solubility characteristics. Calcium hydroxide is used to prepare limewater (kalkwasser) solutions that will maintain calcium concentrations at natural seawater levels. Kalkwasser solutions maintain calcium directly and carbonate alkalinity indirectly. However, its capacity to perform these functions is dependent on evaporation rate and CO2 concentration. If these two factors are insufficient you can provide additional calcium with Reef Advantage Calcium, Reef Complete, or Reef Calcium, and carbonate alkalinity with Reef Builder or Reef Carbonate (do not mix these directly with a kalkwasser solution).
While Reef Kalkwasser is a high purity and economical limewater mix, the beginner, or someone with not as much time to devote to their system, may prefer to use other less involved methods for maintaining proper ionic concentration levels.

Directions:
Aquarium oxygen levels must be increased using heavy aeration or a large air stone.
Turn off any UV sterilizers and ozonizers and remove any Chemi-pure or carbon during treatment.
Continue using a protein skimmer, although skimmer may require adjustment or removal of collection cup to prevent excessive overflow.
Maintain normal water flow using pumps and powerheads.
Add one scoop of Chemiclean per 10 gallons of aquarium water.
Successful treatment may take up to 48 hours. After the 48 hour treatment period, perform a 20% water change.
Turn on any UV sterilizers and ozonators and replace with new Chemi-pure or carbon removed previously.
Repeat as necessary. Chemiclean can be used monthly as a regular component of aquarium maintenance.

The HI713 Checker® HC (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate and cost effective way to measure phosphate. Phosphate is a common food additive that enhances flavor and acts as a buffering agent. Important for growth and development of plant roots, phosphate is also present in fertilizers. However, high concentrations of phosphates are detrimental to the environment; for this reason, it is closely monitored in natural and municipal waters. Feeding Instructions
Pop out a portion from the blister pack and thaw it in a small cup of aquarium water. For fish, pour the thawed mixture slowly into the tank. For corals, use a pipette or turkey baster to gently target-feed the polyps. Feed 1 to 2 times daily, providing only what can be consumed within 3 to 5 minutes.

Reef Pulse, a high quality coral food powder, is an innovative blend of selected zooplankton and phytoplankton catering to the unique nutritional needs of many SPS and LPS coral species, tube worms and other omnivorous filter feeders. The wide particle size range from 5 to 400 micron makes it an ideal diet for a large variety of coral species (like Euphyllia, Acropora, Montipora, Clavularia, Goniopora, Zoanthids, Scolymia, Dendronephthya, Stylophora, Pocillopora, Seriatopora, Xenia, Anthelia, Echinopora, Alveopora, Leptastrea, Chalice,…). They will show faster growth and more intense coloration, when fed regularly with Reef Pulse. Reef Pulse can be used with 2 different feeding methods: target feeding or tank feeding, according to the following feeding instructions. Target feeding = Fill a recipient with 100ml of tank water and add, depending on coral density, ¼ to 1 teaspoon of Reef Pulse. Do not feed more than 1 teaspoon per 400 liter per day / Blend & stir well / Switch off filtration, skimmer and circulation during target feeding (to avoid immediate removal) / Disperse a cloud of concentrated food solution over the targeted corals (e.g. by using a pipet or syringe) / When the food is consumed, restart filtration, skimmer and circulation Tank feeding = Fill a recipient with 500ml of tank water and add, depending on coral density, ¼ to 1 teaspoon of Reef Pulse per 400 liter of tank water. Do not feed more than 1 teaspoon per 400 liter per day. / Blend & stir well / Switch off filtration and skimmer (to avoid immediate removal) / Add the food solution to the aquarium, circulation pumps will disperse the food / Restart filtration and skimmer +/- 10 to 15 minutes later (depending on how fast the food is consumed)
