When our pets are sick, we immediately want to reach for the most powerful medication on the shelf. However, sometimes the right choice to prevent stress is to opt for a gentler medication at first, especially with less severe infections. PolyGuard is among Seachem's strongest medications, and is best used when you are unsure what disease you are treating or when the fish is suffering from multiple infections.

Replacement UV Tube
Kills 99% of bacteria, virus, and protozoan cysts. Perfect solution to purifying well water and other problem water sources containing excessive microorganisms like water from lakes, streams and ponds.
Replacing the tube after use
Disconnect the unit from the power supply
Remove the UV from the system / manifold and drain all the water
Remove the clear end caps and gently pull the electrical connectors off the ends of the tube.
Unscrew the blue nuts and remove the o’rings
Gently remove the tube from the Unit aand wipe any debris from the ends of the Unit.
Gently insert the new tube into the unit and re-fit the o-rings or fit new o-rings if perished
Screw the blue nuts back on ensuring a snug fit onto the o-rings without over tightening.
Fit the tube connectors to the ends of th tube and cover with the clear PVC caps
Re-install the UV to the system and check for leaks and tighten the blue nuts where necessary.
Just one squirt (approximately 1ml) of Scape Dechlorination will remove all chlorine and chloramines from 50L of tap water. If you add tap water directly to the aquarium before treating the water, you should add 1 squirt per 50L of your entire aquarium volume.

Growing algae in a refugium setting can help manage and combat reef tank nutrient issues, like phosphates and nitrates. One of the biggest keys to a successful refugium is having the proper light. Indian almond leaves of the Terminalia catappa tree are especially popular in the betta and shrimp hobby as a natural medicine and water conditioner. They are said to help combat fungus and bacterial problems like finrot, and prevent stress by mimicking the natural habitat.
When placed in an aquarium, Indian almond leaves slowly start to decompose. While this happens they turn the water a yellow or brown color by releasing tannins. These tannins lower the pH and are said to have antifungal and antibacterial properties, which comes in very handy when you have a fish suffering from finrot or when you’re raising vulnerable fry. it also serves as a long time food source for shrimp.
The leaves are harvested directly from the tree, cleaned and sun-dried. Simply lay the leaves in the aquarium. The effect of the ingredients begins with no further action required and lasts 1 – 3 weeks. Put one leaf (approx. 18 cm long) to 50 – 100 l.

The Seachem Algae Pads are non-scratch algae pads for glass & acrylic. The melamine foam uses micro abrasive technology to easily remove algae from the sides of your aquarium. They are particularly effective at removing algae from scratches. They are chemically inert and do not use soaps or detergents. Their white color contrasts against dark algae making it easier to see when areas are fully clean.

Melamine foam is incredibly effective abrasive cleaner. It has a microstructure as hard as glass, but because of its open-cell structure it remains flexible.
