Maintenance alert
Over time, filtration media can become clogged with detritus reducing or obstructing the flow of water through it. When this happens in Tidal™ filters, water is redirected around the filter and back into the aquarium through an outlet on the side. The redirected water pushes up the blue maintenance alert on the top of the filter, signaling that the filter needs to be cleaned.
No mess maintenance
The basket is fully removable and snaps into the lid of the filter for easy and drip-free transit to a sink or hose for cleaning.
Self-priming pump
The self-priming pump means there's no need to fill the filter basket with water, start a siphon, monitor the filter, or any of the other headaches of starting a new filter. This also means that after a power outage, the filter will automatically restart itself.

Ventilation slots
Ventilation slots in the lid of the filter and aeration grooves in the outflow ensure that water returned to the tank is fully oxygenated and maximize gas exchange during filtration.
Bottom-to-top flow
The pump pushes water up into the basket of the filter, entering through the bottom of the basket and being pushed out the top. A bottom-to-top flow ensures that water comes into contact will all filter media, and cannot go around or over filter media as with hang on back filters with a back-to-front flow.
Telescoping intake pipe

Cholla wood is a product from the Cylindropuntia bigelovii Cactus found mainly Mexico and USA. When the cacti die and dry out, the wood remains. However, these cholla is gathered ‘locally’. Because Cholla is hollow it make a great hiding place for baby shrimp and adult shrimp especially while moulting and vulnerable.
Cholla will break down over a very long period of time and a bio-film will form on which the shrimp will forage.
Tannins will be released into the water which may stain the tank water slightly, but the tannins contain anti-bacterial and antifungal properties which help protect the shrimp.Due to its appealing look it is a great natural alternative for ceramic decoration.DO NOT BOIL THE CHOLLA. StressGuard does not coat resins or clog filtration like competing “slime coat†type products can.
What makes StressGuard very successful at healing is the fact that it contains protein active colloids. This protein active colloidal agent actively seeks out any wounds, abrasions, or places where exposed proteins are and attaches to this area to help directly deliver the disinfectant in the product and start the healing process. This protein active colloid, because it binds to the exposed proteins, also acts like a liquid bandage to the abrasion. Some products are marketed to be squirted in the bag when a fish is purchased. Those products are generally acidic, with some brands being a very strong acid. Putting such a product in a small, enclosed container with a fish often does more harm than any intended good. StressGuard has a pH of 7.0. It will not affect the pH of an aquarium, even at large doses. There are no other products on the market that can compare to the effectiveness of StressGuard.

Matrix™ is a high porosity biomedia that provides efficient biofiltration for the removal of nitrogenous waste. Matrix™ is a porous inorganic solid about 10 mm in diameter. Each liter of Matrix™ provides as much surface (>~700 m2) as 170 liters of plastic balls! Plastic bio-materials provide only external surface area, whereas Matrix™ provides both external and internal macroporous surface area. These macropores are ideally sized for the support of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria. This allows Matrix™, unlike other forms of biomedia, to remove nitrate along with ammonia and nitrite, simultaneously and in the same filter.
Matrix™ is completely inert and will not breakdown. It need not be replaced. Since the majority of the bacteria are internal, Matrix™ may be rinsed when needed without damaging the filter. Matrix™ is compatible with all types of wet or wet-dry filters.

Clarity is the ultimate clarifier for both fresh and saltwater. It employs an advanced polymeric flocculating agent that is both reef and plant safe. Clarity is the only clarifier on the market that does it all! Clarity will clear all types of clouding.
Many companies manufacture multiple products to clear up each type of cloudiness and each different environment (e.g. freshwater, marine, reef, etc.). Some companies have developed products that will clear most types of cloudiness, but their application requires two separate bottles of product. Clarity contains compounds that will clear all types of cloudiness in all environments.
Clarity contains both precipitating and flocculating agents in the same bottle, enabling all types of cloudiness to be removed in one dose.
Upon adding Clarity to the water, you will see a cloudy haze begin to form. This is normal and means that Clarity is beginning to work. The water is filled with tiny pieces of floating matter that were not visible to the naked eye. Clarity makes those pieces of matter begin to clump together. As they clump together they form larger pieces of matter that are now visible, hence the cloudiness. Once this matter has clumped together, it is a simple matter of mechanical filtration to remove the residue. Matter that was once too small to get caught in filter media is now in large enough clumps.
In order for Clarity to work effectively, you should have a filter with mechanical filtration (e.g., filter floss) connected to your aquarium.

AQUAEL offers a broad range of natural aquarium substrates. This line of products includes:BASALT SAND 0,1-0,5 mm is recommended for aquariums inhabited by timid, bottom-dwelling fish that prefer dark substrates (the fine sand does not damage their skin);BASALT GRAVEL 2-4 mm is ideal for aquariums inhabited by timid fish that prefer dark substrates;QUARTZ SAND 0,1-0,3 mm is recommended for aquariums inhabited by bottom-dwelling fish (the fine sand does not damage their skin);DOLOMITE GRAVEL 2-4 mm is intended for aquariums inhabited by fish that prefer hard alkaline water (such as fish species originating from Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, or Lake Victoria); the gravel stabilizes water parameters;NATURAL MULTI-COLOUR GRAVEL 1,4-2 mm, 3-5 mm, 5-10 mm will give the interior of your fish tank an attractive natural look.These substrates (except for dolomite gravel) do not affect water chemistry. They are sold in handy sturdy plastic bags that are well suited for shelf display. Each bag contains 2 kg of product. Before use, rinse the substrate in running water to remove any suspensions.
