To keep your pond fish healthy and your water pristine, adjust your feeding schedule based on your pond's water temperature:
Above 60°F (15°C): Feed 2 to 4 times daily. Only feed the amount your fish will completely consume within 5 minutes.
Between 50°F and 60°F (10°C – 15°C): Feed no more than 2 times daily. Monitor your fish closely and only feed during the warmest part of the day when they are active enough to digest their food.
Below 50°F (10°C): Stop feeding entirely, or transition to a highly digestible cold-water wheat-germ diet, as the digestive systems of Koi and pond fish largely shut down in cold water.

Java moss is the most popular aquarium moss there is. It is very undemanding regarding water parameters and lighting, but looks best under strong light and a good nutrient supply. Taxiphyllum barbieri is rather fast-growing and attaches quickly to all surfaces, which makes it an ideal moss for accentuating the hardscape or for hiding technical equipment in the tank. Taxiphyllum barbieri was long erroneously called Vesicularia dubyana in the aquarium hobby. True V. dubyana is also called Java moss, but also Singapore moss.
Lagenandra meeboldii is a very variable swamp plant from southwestern India. It occurs naturally on swampy streambanks where it is flooded during times of high water level. It can be grown permanently submerged in aquariums.
There are several forms of Meebold's Lagenandra with different leaf shapes and colorations. Lagenandra meeboldii 'Green' is a form with light to medium green leaves.
As an aquarium plant, this Lagenandra prefers a nutrient-rich substrate and not too low light. It forms a thick, creeping rhizome that with time develops side shoots. The plant can be propagated by cutting off the daughter plants.

Feeding
Feed two to three times daily the amount your fish will completely consume in a few minutes. Care should be taken to avoid over-feeding and always remove uneaten food after feeding period. Carnivorous fish often resist a new type of food when changing their diet, continued use will assure acceptance. Additionally, for these larger fish, throwing the stick at the surface causing a splash can increase acceptance.
