  • RedSea DipX

    Red Sea RedSea DipX

5 in stock Delivery in 2-5 Days  Excluding Weekends and Public Holidays

Safe Introduction of New Corals DipX is a highly effective dip for safely introducing new corals and live rocks to your aquarium. A simple 15-minute bath in DipX before placing a new coral in the aquarium will drive away unwanted “hitchhikers”, thereby maintaining the safety of your reef.   New corals often come with unwanted “hitchhikers” hidden deep inside the corals’ crevices. These various tiny creatures are usually invisible to the naked eye, and once in the aquarium, they can migrate to other corals and damage your delicate reef eco-system.   Over the years, reef hobbyists have used generic baths solutions such as fresh water, Iodine, and even household disinfectants, all of which repel some of the hitchhikers, but not all of them.   For the past few years, we have been cultivating tanks with infested corals and comparing a wide range of commercially available dips and other repelling ingredients, examining both their effectiveness and their overall safety for the corals.    The result is DipX – a unique blend of essential oils, without inorganic disinfectants. Our tests have shown that DipX is completely safe for all kinds of corals and more effective than any other solution we tested.    Corals that were bathed in DipX still repelled unwanted “hitchhikers”, even though they were previously dipped in other solutions  On the other hand, corals that were dipped in other solutions after they were bathed in DipX did not repel anything.

  • Red Sea Coral Colors D Bioactive Elements

Red Sea Red Sea Coral Colors D Bioactive Elements

5 in stock Delivery in 2-5 Days  Excluding Weekends and Public Holidays

Red Sea Coral Color D is a complex of 18 trace elements. These 18 elements (out of all the trace elements in NSW) participate in the metabolic processes inside a coral’s skeleton and soft tissue. D elements are related to the blue/purple chroma-proteins.Weekly dosing - Soft CoralsTest the Color Elements every week and dose each supplement to replenish back to the optimal levels.Daily dosing - SPS coralsEnsure that all of the Color Elements are at optimal values and run the aquarium for4 days at a stable salinity (compensate for evaporation daily) without adding anysupplements. At the end of the 4 days test the Color Elements and calculate the “4 day dosage” of each supplement to replenish back to the optimal levels. Add the “4 day dosage” to the system. Divide this “4 day dosage” by 4 and use as the daily dosage for the next week. After a week of adding the daily dosage, test the Color Elements and calculate the adjusting dosage of each supplement to replenish back to the optimal levels. If the adjusting dosage is significantly different from the previous daily dosage amend (increase/decrease) the daily dosage as appropriate. If the measured level of a specific element is above the optimal level wait for the excess of the element to be depleted before restarting the daily supplementation with the amended daily dosage. Continue testing all of the elements every week and make adjustments to the dailydosages as required. As your corals grow or you add or remove livestock the uptake of the elements in your aquarium will gradually change. It is recommended to keep a log book of the weekly measurements and dosages. If you miss one or more days of supplementing add the complete amount that you have missed but do not exceed the maximum recommended daily increase for any of the elements.

Pearl Beach™ is an all natural aragonite substrate for all types of marine, reef and tropical aquaria. Its chemical composition will assist in stabilizing calcium and alkalinity while preventing large pH declines. Unlike competing “wet” gravels, Pearl Beach™ is sold dry: this bag contains 35% more gravel than a bag of wet gravel of equal weight. These “wet” gravels are marketed to give one the impression that they contain living, microscopic animals when in fact they only contain common bacteria. Dry or wet, there are bacteria on every substrate. If one is concerned with shortening the aquarium cycle time for a new system, then the use of a product designed for that particular purpose would be more appropriate (such as Seachem’s Stability®).

  • DeNitrate DeNitrate

    Seachem DeNitrate

Delivery in 2-5 Days  Excluding Weekends and Public Holidays

DeNitrate is an economical, natural, porous material with a pore distribution and geometry that promotes both aerobic nitrification within the first few millimeters of depth and anaerobic denitrification at the core. The material has a high surface area and supports a high density of bacteria. Although DeNitrate has capacity to trap nitrate, this, as with other nitrate retaining materials, such as certain zeolites and synthetic resins, is quite limited and the primary mechanism of nitrate removal is anaerobic. “Live”rocks or reef rocks remove nitrate by anaerobic denitrification. DeNitrate removes nitrate by the same process. Efficiency is magnified several folds by forcing the water to filter through the porous DeNitrate. As with reef rock, anaerobic conditions are achieved by the porosity and the depletion of oxygen by the aerobic process at the surface. Excessive flow rates should, therefore, be avoided, as they may impede development of an adequate anaerobic environment to support denitrifying bacteria. DeNitrate is also an excellent media for aerobic nitrification and it makes an ideal biological filter in drip trays, canister filters, sumps, or even box filters. At high flow rates (greater than 100 US gallons per hour), it will function solely as an aerobic filter. At slow flow rates (less than 50 US gallons per hour), it will function as both an aerobic filter and an anaerobic denitrifying filter.

TRACE COLORS B Potassium and Boron supplement that promotes the Red colors in corals POTASSIUM+ Supplement is part of the complete range of complementary major, minor and trace element complexes which together provide the needs of corals. POTASSIUM+ Supplement contains potassium and boron that are associated with many biological processes, one of them being the production of the red pigments in the soft tissue of corals. Potassium plays an essential role in the transportation of coral nutrients within the soft tissue (including the nutrients provided by the zooxanthellae). Potassium and boron significantly affect the alkalinity of a coral’s soft tissue and the formation of aragonite in its skeleton. Potassium is related to the red chromo-proteins. For best results in displaying coral colors use Red Sea’s NO3: PO4– X. Liquid supplement: 1ml will raise the potassium level of 100 liters (25 gal) by1.75ppm.

LifeRock is infused with spored bacteria to aid in biological performance, along with millions of micro and macro passage ways CaribSea's Branch Dry Rock is perfect for the environmentally friendly aquarist. Creates a mature looking reef instantly 100% safe for all marine animals Unique pieces Environmentally friendly   CaribSea LifeRock is made of an aragonitic base rock, instead of the typical cement used by many other artificial rock creators. Every rock contains a network of micro and macro pores that intertwine within the rocks internal structure creating the perfect environment for natural nitrifying bacteria. LifeRock is manmade and does not affect our natural resources, making it the perfect option for all marine fish, invertebrates, and corals.    Every LifeRock from CaribSea has an artificial coating and texture that mimics natural coralline algae after being in the ocean for years. Depending on the animals that you have in your aquarium, they may pick at the coating on the rocks which will not harm them at all, and over time live coralline algae will cover any spots on the rocks that may have had the coating picked off.   Branch style rocks can be tricky to aquascape but if you have some patience, beautiful structures can be created. In most cases mixing the branch rock with other types can create a very natural, open space appearance.   How many pieces are In each box? On average 7-8 pieces are included in every box of LifeRock Branch Dry Live Rock   How big are the pieces? Sizing can range from 12" up to 18"   Can I request specific shapes and sizes? Unfortunately, we are unable to take requests for specific shapes and sizes for CaribSea LifeRock.    How much rock do I need? Knowing exactly how much Dry Live Rock you will need can be one of the hardest questions to answer since every tank and rock will be slightly different. A general guideline for dry Live Rock, we suggest 1 pound of rock per gallon of display tank volume and may vary depending on your overall goal for the aquascape. We always recommend purchasing a little extra dry rock to ensure that you will have enough to complete the aquascape you are looking for, any extra rock can always be broken up and placed in your refugium, overflows, and sump for added filtration.

  • Aquavitro Remediation

    Aquavitro Aquavitro Remediation

14 in stock Delivery in 2-5 Days  Excluding Weekends and Public Holidays

AquaVitro – Remediation uses bio-augmentation, a natural and non-chemical method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. It will also reduce excess nutrients (e.g. ammonia, nitrates, nitrites and phosphates) that may fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms. The bacteria species in remediation™ thrive in fresh or salt water and can utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that can cause unsightly films. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, this bacterial blend can adapt to harsh or low oxygen environments and continue to multiply and improve water conditions. Biopolymers produced by established bacterial colonies trap particulates and increase water clarity. The species of bacteria in remediation™ have been developed for use in aquaculture, where sludge and excess organics must be controlled to avoid disease and livestock losses. This bacterial blend is hardy enough to survive harsh aquaculture conditions, and it will thrive in your aquarium. Directions: Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 5 mL for each 40 L (10 US gallons). Then use a maintenance dose of 5 mL for each 80 L (20 US gallons) with additions of livestock or the disruption of the biofilter through cleaning or medications. Antibiotics should be removed with fresh carbon and a water change before adding bacteria. Allow 2 or 3 days for the bacteria to become established before using UV sterilizers or ozone. Recurring problems with high nutrients can indicate overstocking, overfeeding or inadequate filtration.

Restores magnesium by employing the most concentrated (90,000 mg/L), fully dissolved magnesiumFirst and only liquid magnesium supplement that does not contain ammonia Overview Like calcium and strontium, magnesium is used in the calcification of skeletons of reef organisms. In many cases, magnesium is used in place of calcium for calcification. In addition to its role in calcification, magnesium is used by organisms ranging from bacteria, to coralline algae to fish. How can you be sure if magnesium levels are deficient? There are a couple of indications; severely depleted levels of magnesium (below 800 mg/L) can cause depressed pH levels and an inability to maintain proper calcium levels (more on ionic imbalance). The best way to tell if you need a magnesium supplement, though, is to test for it using a magnesium test kit such as Seachem's Reef Status®: Magnesium & Carbonate and Borate Alkalinity. If you've determined your magnesium levels are low, supplementation with ions™ is necessary. ions™ restores magnesium by employing the most concentrated (90,000 mg/L), fully dissolved magnesium and does so without adding any ammonia. Other liquid magnesium supplements inherently contain ammonia because the magnesium chloride used in their production contains ammonia. This is a result of the mechanisms for deriving and/or producing magnesium chloride. aquavitro has gone to considerable lengths to remove this contaminant and a proprietary process makes ions™ the first and only liquid magnesium supplement that does not contain ammonia.Using a fully dissolved magnesium is critical. Some magnesium supplements use a magnesium source that is simply not soluble, that is, unavailable. This means it can never be utilized by reef organisms, and is, consequently, of no value. If the product itself is milky white or the instructions direct the user to shake well, more than likely, a substantial amount of magnesium is not being utilized (the same is true of calcium products). ions™ also includes strontium and boron in the NSW ratio of 1.7:1 to avoid ionic imbalance with long term use.Directions Beginner: Use 5 mL for every 90 L (25 US gallons) twice a week. Check magnesium once a week and adjust amount or frequency accordingly. Note: each inner cap thread is approximately 1 mL.Advanced: Check magnesium level, then follow addition regimen above until magnesium is adjusted to 1200-1350 mg/L. Each 5 mL/90 L (25 US gallons) will raise magnesium by about 5 mg/L. Quantity or frequency can be adjusted, but do not exceed 25 mL/90 L (25 US gallons) per day. Thereafter, use as required to maintain magnesium.Unlike competing products that require multi-day interval dosing. ions™ can be dosed daily and within minutes of the entire aquavitro line.

  • Aquavitro Eight.four

    Aquavitro Aquavitro Eight.four

16 in stock Delivery in 2-5 Days  Excluding Weekends and Public Holidays

Many competing buffers for reef aquaria are simply sodium bicarbonate. Such buffers have a pK of only 8.0 in saltwater and simply are unable to maintain a pH above 8.0. The low buffering pK is a function of the low carbonate/bicarbonate ratio. eight.four™ supplies a properly balanced (carbonate/bicarbonate) buffer system that yields an industry leading pK of 8.6 which makes pH maintenance of 8.3-8.5 easy. A higher pK increases the buffer's ability to counteract inevitable acidic sources in the water. eight.four™ will safely raise marine pH while adjusting alkalinity. eight.four™ contains a concentrated, balanced blend of bicarbonate and carbonate salts designed to restore disrupted buffer systems and increase carbonate alkalinity. If an alkalinity of 6 meq/L has been reached and a pH of at least 8.20 has not been attained, the system may be ionically unbalanced. Check magnesium levels. If magnesium is low, use Ions. However, if magnesium levels are within optimal range, the buffer ratio has likely been disrupted (the buffer ratio changes as a natural consequence of the buffer's ability to counteract acidifying sources such as organic acids). You can raise pH without raising alkalinity using balance™. Unlike competing products that require multi-day interval dosing when combined with carbonate supplements, eight.four™ can be dosed daily and within minutes of our calcification as well as balance and ions

  • Aquavitro Calcification

    Aquavitro Aquavitro Calcification

16 in stock Delivery in 2-5 Days  Excluding Weekends and Public Holidays

Calcification is a concentrated (140,000 mg/L) optimized blend of ionic and bioavailable gluconate-complexed calcium designed to restore and maintain calcium to levels found in natural seawater, without affecting pH. These two forms of calcium are combined in calcification to provide the hobbyist with a convenient way to ensure peak coral growth and health. Ionic calcium is readily available, while the gluconate-complexed calcium confers several benefits. The uncharged calcium in calcification is readily absorbed with less physiological work than is required for the absorption of ionic calcium. Using calcification, it is not necessary to maintain the excessively high concentrations of calcium (about 450 mg/L or more) often recommended by others. In fact, excellent growth of corals and coraline algae is achieved with total calcium concentrations as low as 380 mg/L. Used up to four times recommended maintenance dose, the gluconate polymer will not accumulate or encourage the growth of undesirable algae. The polymer itself is beneficial as a food source not only to the corals and other invertebrates, but also to denitrifying bacteria, actually promoting the natural anaerobic denitrification process in live rock and other substrate. Furthermore, the use of this gluconate polymer allows calcium, strontium, and magnesium to be utilized more readily than they would otherwise and also helps to stabilize them in solution without depleting alkalinity. Some prefer not to use complexed calcium because of concern about adding organics to the aquarium. This is not a valid concern. The amount of organics added with complexed calcium is insignificantly small when compared to the organics released by most reef creatures, even in a no feed, no nutrients approach. Since complexed calcium products employ lactate or gluconate, the naive misconception that these products contain sugars has arisen. While these components are related to sugars, they are oxidized aldehydes and do not react or behave as sugars. Polygluconate contains no nitrogen or phosphorous, thus it is biologically impossible for it to lead to algae growth in a properly maintained reef system. Unlike competing products that require multi-day interval dosing when combined with carbonate supplements, calcification™ can be dosed daily and within minutes of our eight.four as well as the entire aquavitro reef line.

Aquavitro Aquavitro Element Ca Calcium Reactor

4 in stock Delivery in 2-5 Days  Excluding Weekends and Public Holidays

The element Ca Reactor provides and maintains a virtually constant calcium, magnesium and alkalinity ratio, which is critical to the long term success of reef aquaria. The element Ca Reactor functions by using CO2 to react with a calcium reactor media such as Seachem’s Reef Reactor. CO2 acidifies the water flowing through the reactor and thereby dissolves the media which releases calcium, magnesium, carbonates among other elements and components of the chosen reactor media. A CO2 filled tank along with a pH probe and preferably a CO2 controlling system are required and/or highly recommended for proper functionality of the element Ca Reactor. Easily Removable Inner Chamber The inner chamber can be removed without full breakdown making it easy to clean, change or top off media CO2 Recycling Feature Make full use of CO2 injection by recirculating it using the element™ Ca's CO2 recycling feature. This also offers potential savings on the cost of CO2 canisters and refills High Capacity Chamber The reactor chamber can hold up to 1.2 Liters of your choice of calcium reactor media Effluent Control Valve Easily control the release of dissolved media into the aquarium. The water can be directed back into the sump, directly to the aquarium, or even a protein skimmer such as the aquavitro division series. Highly Reactive Probe Placement Allows for rapid response by controllers to avoid over-shooting CO2 injection. Saves CO2 and allows for consistent and efficient dosing Powerful External Pump Allows for higher column flow volume with more contact time and surface area. Allows for easy maintenance of the pump at anytime. But wait...there's more Easy Maintenance The element™ Ca can be quickly and easily dismantled for maintenance and thorough cleaning. Anti-Vibration O-rings and Rubber Feet Additional sound-dampening features assist in silent skimmer operation Setup Versatility The element™ Ca can be setup in three different configurations based on preference and placement within the system being run. Patent Pending Compact Base Design Designed with a compact footprint in mind to fit in virtually any sump Operation is Independent of Water Level in Sump Variations in sump water level don't impact the function of the skimmer 3 year warranty The element™ Ca is guaranteed against defects of materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase, except for the pump’s impeller. This can be extended to 5 years by registering your skimmer. The warranty covers the replacement of the defective parts.   Setup Versatility The element™ Ca has the flexibility to be setup in three different configurations for managing the effluent and CO2 connections. This is a key highlight of the element's™ modularity and versatility. Option 1 simply utilizes the connections as described in the instruction manual included with your element™ Ca Reactor. Option 2 reverses these connections. Choosing between the two will be largely a personal preference, but factors to consider are how convenient CO2 regulation is setup for the system or where the effluent line might be better located. Additionally, in practice, some might find better management of CO2 recovery in one or the other. If CO2 recovery is of primary concern, then Option 3 might be the better choice. Using this configuration, the effluent tubing connects directly to the base and no CO2 is lost. However, it is still beneficial to direct the effluent flow from the tubing into a protein skimmer such as the aquavitro® division series or to a point where there is consistent water surface disruption, ensuring that any possible CO2 is driven out of solution or that low pH water has its pH increased in value before flowing back to the aquarium

The ReefDose was built from the ground up to meet the needs of modern reef aquarists. Utilizing Red Sea’s custom-built dosing heads, the ReefDose is capable of delivering incredible single-drop precision through a variety of dosing programs. The three dosing speed settings offer additional versatility, prioritizing whisper quiet operating at up to 15mL per minute, all the way up to 45mL per minute with Turbo mode.    Features Single drop accuracy dosing heads with a direct-drive planetary gear-motor, provides an accuracy of ± 0.05ml or an average deviation of 0.5% (over 10ml). 4 easy-set, smart dosing options for each head, that are automatically combined into one coordinated schedule. Easy assembly click-on/off dosing heads (no tools or alignment required). Automatic delay between the heads to prevent chemical interaction between supplements. Automatic dose compensation for doses missing due to power loss. Daily dose per head of 0.2ml up to 1000ml in increments of 0.1ml. On-demand manual dosing. 3 dosing flow rates: Whisper 15ml/min, Regular 30ml/min, Turbo 45 ml/min. Motor life expectancy of 10 years – based on 250ml/day/head.   The ReefDose is more than just another programmable dosing pump. Smart software functionality like the “Dynamic Dosing Queue” run by the controller combines the desired dosing plans for each head into one coordinated daily dosing schedule for the complete device. The queue is automatically updated after any settings changes, and reschedules any doses that are missed due to unscheduled events such as power outages, maintenance, or feeding.   ReefBeat App The ReefDose is also part of the Red Sea smart ecosystem, integrating with other ReefBeat devices. With programming through the ReefBeat App, the ReefDose can be programmed for multiple automated dosing setups, or set up for individually customized dosing schedules. Through ReefBeat, you can schedule dosing programs to run every day, or only on selected days, with daily doses ranging from once per day to once per hour. Automatic rescheduling after changes in dosing schedule or number of doses Dose Queue presents coordinated list of doses scheduled for all heads Dose Log keeps a record of supplement volumes per hour for up to 30 days Peace of Mind - Receive notifications and alerts of missed doses and more Volume monitor keeps tabs on when reservoirs need to be refilled Set a dosing head to “Food Head” and use it to dose liquid foods   Download the ReefBeat App:   Specifications Dimensions: 5.1”L x 4.1” H Dosing Heads: 2 Dosing Precision: ± 0.05ml (avg. deviation 0.5% over 10 mL) Dosing Range: 1x/day to 24x/day, 0.2mL to 1000mL per head Dosing Speed: 15mL/min to 45mL/min Tubing Connection: 3mm ID, 5mm OD

  • Kamoer X4 Plus Replacement Pump Head

Kamoer Kamoer X4 Plus Replacement Pump Head

Dosing pump heads do not last forever, and on average, the Kamoer Dosing Pump heads can last up to 2000 hours of run time. After that, there is a good chance that the lubricant on the tube and rollers will start to dissipate and cause more resistance and wear for the motor driving that channel. Maintaining the heads on the dosing system will help keep the motors running longer while providing more precise dosing.Replacing the head only takes a few seconds, and start by removing the input and output dosing tube from the head that needs to be replaced. Then by pinching the tabs at the base of the head, you can pull it away from the dosing pump body. Inserting the new one is just as easy, slide it over the motor spindle until it clicks into place, then reattach the dosing tubes and you are ready to go.What's Included?1x Replacement Kamoer Dosing Pump Head
