Meridian is an all natural oolitic (spherical or egg shaped) aragonite substrate for all reef and marine aquaria. Meridian is the premium aragonite substrate for the reef aquaria. It's grain size (a fairly uniform 0.25 - 0.50 mm) is ideally suited to reef inhabitants and it's chemical composition will assist in stabilizing calcium and alkalinity while preventing large pH declines. Unlike competing "wet" products marketed under the guise of being "live", Meridian is sold dry, thus you pay only for gravel and not for unneeded water. These products imply that they contain living, microscopic animals when in fact they only contain common bacteria. Dry or wet, there are bacteria on every substrate available. MetroPlex is an effective and safe treatment for several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases of fish (Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, Ichthyophthirius). It does not adversely affect the filter bed and is easily removed with carbon. It can either be dosed into the water or combined with Focus in a medicated food mix. It will treat both internal and external infections regardless of the delivery method. When used in a medicated food mix, it is excellent for treating parasites in tanks that contain invertebrates. MetroPlex is gentle and there little danger of overdosing.

Micranthemum sp ‘Monte Carlo’ – A highly interesting and recommendable ground-covering plant that’s still a rarity. It was collected on a riverbank in the province Misiones in North Argentine by some Japanese, and it was named after the place where it was found: Micranthemum sp. “Montecarlo-3”. Micranthemum sp ‘Monte Carlo’ is also known under the name “New Large Pearl Grass”, and in South America as “Bacopita”. It looks like a larger version of Hemianthus callitrichoides, but it is also somewhat similar to “standard” Micranthemum umbrosum. It grows flat on the ground, forming a compact mat. The roundish leaves are a bit smaller and of a darker green than those of M. umbrosum. When planted in an elevated place, loose shoots will bow to the ground. This Micranthemum is easier in cultivation than Hemianthus callitrichoides.

Since each bottle of MICROBE-LIFT is grown individually, color variations may exist from bottle to bottle. These variations in color are not indicative of variations in product quality. Any floating particles present are suspended biofilm which slough off the sides of the bottle. Dimpling or expansion of the container is caused by pressure differences resulting from temperature variations due to the fact that the bottle is sealed.
*Saltwater environments - the bacteria in this product will remain effective when used in marine environments with a specific gravity of 1.017 to 1.025. In marine tanks, add the aquarium salt mix and allow the water to circulate for 24 hours, then check and adjust the density. Add the bacteria after the new water has circulated for the 24-hour period.
Saltwater oceans are a highly stable environment with very little fluctuation in pH. The ocean waters dilute fish waste and organic matter. Java Fern is the most popular type of fern with aquatics hobbyists, and is widespread in tropical Asia. This species varies widely and displays a number of different leaf shapes and sizes. A completely undemanding specimen and a perfect plant for beginners, it grows best when the rhizomes are anchored to rocks or driftwood. Low to moderate light is completely sufficient, although it also grows well under strong lighting. Older leaves can sometimes produce plantlets that can easily be cut away and reattached at another point using a piece of thin fishing line.

Spiderwood, or red bog root, has now become a real classic in aquatics. The many-branched and filigree root pieces originate from rhododendron plants from Asia. In contrast to mangrove wood, they do not stain the water - but are originally very light. However, our roots are pre-watered and usually sink quickly. The filigree leaf structure of the variety 'Trident' looks very harmonious in combination with the finely branched Spiderwood roots. Microsorum pteropus 'Trident' grows rather slowly and, like the main form, is very easy to care for and undemanding.
