The aquarium sits on a recessed base that “floats” it above the cabinet, which seamlessly follows the contour of the glass.
The marine-spec laminated cabinet that houses the sump, (and in the larger models also includes a dedicated, vented space for chillers) is smartly finished with weatherproof, epoxy-painted doors.
REEFER™ Water Management System
Removable surface-skimming combs surround the top of the centrally located overflow box that houses the downpipe, sump return pipe and the discreet multi-directional “eyeball” return outlet nozzle.
In the event of a blockage in the regulated downpipe, an additional emergency overflow pipe provides an unrestricted free flow of aquarium water directly to the sump.
On entering the sump the water passes through a 200 micron mechanical filter bag, before entering the filtration compartment that maintains a constant water height, making it suitable for all skimmers and other reactors.
In order to remove any air bubbles that may have escaped from the skimmer, the water passes through a bubble-stripping cascade on its way to the return pump chamber.

Going from the top of the Reefer XL system down to the bottom, the first thing you will notice is the crystal clear glass and elegant beveled edges. The second thing you may or may not notice is the slim overflow that houses all the drain and return plumbing to keep the water a constant level within the display tank and surface skimming while being super quiet and taking up a very small amount of real estate inside of the tank. The return nozzle is fully adjustable for to direct the flow where you need it, and the dual drain system keeps overflows from happening like a single drain design may encounter. The dual drain design has one main drain that includes a diaphragm valve for easy tuning and adjustments. The other drain is completely open to flow directly down into the sump in the event that the main drain gets clogged. If plumbing is one of the reasons why you have never wanted to install a tank with a sump don’t worry as Red Sea has done all the planning for you and there is no gluing needed to assemble and seal all the plumbing.
The sump includes a filter sock holder and sock to keep large pieces of debris and detritus from clogging pumps and other pieces of equipment. The water can then flow from the filter sock into the skimmer compartment where the water will keep a steady level to aid in the best performance in your choice of skimmer or any other filtration components that you choose to include can be placed there. The water will then flow through the final bubble trap and in to the final chamber where the return pump (not included) can be placed to pump water back through the Reefer tanks return plumbing.
When water starts to evaporate all Reefer systems include an integrated top off system and reservoir that can hold a few days worth of top off water to keep the water level, salinity and flow rates consistent throughout the tank.

The G2 Plus now comes equipped with Red Sea's new Red Sea Reef ATO+ Upgrade Kit! - The ReefATO+ is an exceptionally reliable auto top-off system that includes a highly accurate temperature monitor plus an external leak detector and is supplied with a smart controller and useful ReefBeat features. It has a unique solid-state level sensor, with five titanium probes that can pinpoint if you are above, below, or at the desired water level, along with backup OFF sensors, a fail-safe mechanism that stops the pump if it is operating for too long, and of course ReefBeat notifications if anything is out of the ordinary.

Rimless ultra-clear glass
REEFER G2 aquariums are rimless, and constructed from ultra-clear, beveled-edge glass with increased thickness of up to 19 mm or 0.75”.
Extra fortified plywood cabinet
The marine-spec laminated cabinets follow the contour of the glass, and are now all fortified and made of plywood. The “floating tank” feature is now reinforced with front aluminum supports on all REEFER 625 G2 models and bigger.
Dual return pump outlets
All REEFER 350 G2 models and bigger now have dual side-facing return pump outlets, creating an even better water distribution.
Surface skimmer
The piping is hidden inside a large central overflow box, which has a large surface skimmer with removable comb parts, for easy cleaning.
Silent downflow system

Improved Water Management & Plumbing
Up top, the G2 REEFER systems employ a large overflow box with dual side-facing return pumps for optimal water circulation and increased surface skimming. The overflow box includes a lid which hides plumbing components, as well as easily-removable weir combs for quick cleaning and improved surface skimming. Water then exits from the overflow box and travels down an enlarged and rectangular inlet to the downflow pipe, allowing for reduced turbulence & quieter operation. All G2 models also include a newly improved high precision valve on the downflow pipe, allowing for simple regulation to further tune your flow.
Reef-Ready Sump– Now ReefMat Compatible
As with the previous generation of REEFER, the G2 sump includes a mechanical filtration compartment complete with micron filter sock(s) and filter cup(s) to keep large pieces of debris and detritus from clogging pumps and other pieces of equipment. New to the G2, this chamber can be alternatively used with a ReefMat 500 or 1200-- no modifications required! Water flows from the filtration chamber into the adjustable-height skimmer compartment, where the water will be kept at a steady level to aid in the best performance for your choice of skimmer, or any other filtration components that you choose to include. The water will then flow through the final bubble trap and into a chamber where the return pump (not included) can be placed to pump water back through the Reefer tank's return plumbing.
Addtional features of the Reef-Ready sump system include an optional refugium compartment for growing chaeto or other macroalgae, as well as an RO reservoir that can hold a few days worth of top off water to keep the water level, salinity and flow rates consistent throughout the tank.
3+2 Extended Warranty Plans
All REEFER aquariums have included a standard 2-year warranty. With the new G2 models, you can now purchase an additional 1-2 year warranty plan when registering your new system online. That’s a total of 5 years of worry-free protection!

DELUXE Models
All Deluxe REEFER models include ReefLED 90 or 160 light(s) with mounting arm(s) for optimal coral growth right out of the box. Each ReefLED offers a compact LED array providing reef-safe lighting through a single channel that combines ultraviolet, violet, and blue LEDs; in addition to a 9,000 Kelvin white channel and a separate dedicated 3W Moonlight channel for night time viewing.
All ReefLED lights are equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi that allows total control via ReefBeat smart aquarium app (which controls all Red Sea devices). The app includes pre-set lighting programs, along with additional features such as sunrise/sunset effects, lunar cycle moon light, random clouds and even an acclimation program for new installations.
Each Deluxe REEFER model includes either ReefLED 90 or ReefLED 160S lighting units, along with the appropriate amunt of mounting arms. The arms attach firmly onto the rear wall of the tank and can be rotated to the upright position during reef scaping or other tank maintenance.

The Mantis Rubicon is a stylish, compact nano aquarium series, perfect for the home or office. Made from ultra clear Starphire glass wth carefully bevelled edges and a rimless design, the Rubicon provides the ultimate nano aquarium experience.
Out of the box includes the tank with a glass overflow panel, recirculating pump, plumbing and filter sock - nearly everything you need to get started!
A Perfectly Clear Viewing Experience. The Rubicon series features laser cut Starphire glass, to enhance your viewing experience. Unlike traditional lower grade glass, Starphire glass provides an unmatched levels of brightness, colour fidelity, clarity and visual appearance.
Large Filtration Area. The Rubicon Series makes fitting a protein skimmer easy, with a larger protein skimmer box size of 140 x 95mm. This also allows for more area for reactors and filtration media, making for a more practical aquarium experience. Effective Filtration. The Rubicon Series includes a 200 micron felt filter sock, meaning free-floating particles are removed from the water effectively, allowing for a more pleasant viewing experience while also helping remove waste from the water. Each Rubicon Cube also ships with Mantis Biospheres. A break through technology which allows for a greater surface area, meaning the most effective and efficient filtration possible.
A Strong, Reliable Heart. The return pump is the heart of a healthy aquarium. Featuring a powerful 600 litre per hour return pump, the Rubicon series allows for a healthy return flow. Forcing more water to be passed through the critical filtration stages.
Easily Adaptable & Customisable. The design of the Rubicon allows for the user to easily upgrade/change equipment on the aquarium. Larger space in the filtration compartment, and rimless sides mean no difficult and awkward hardware positioning.
