AQUAEL LEDDY TUBE is a new power-saving lighting module for aquariums. It consumes up to 65% less power than the analogous ECOLIGHT modules. In 2014, LEDDY TUBE modules will replace the ECOLIGHT line of products. LEDDY TUBE 3 W replaces the ECOLIGHT 9 W model, and LEDDY TUBE 6 W replaces the ECOLIGHT 11 W model.AQUAEL LEDDY TUBE combines high usability with ease of installation and versatility of use. A LEDDY TUBE module consists of a technologically advanced 3- or 6-Watt light-emitting diode encased in a rounded glass tube welded to the power cord.The colour temperature of the light emitted by the LED is about 6500 K. Thanks to its low own weight (just 124 g without the electrical cord), LEDDY TUBE can be easily fitted into aquarium lamps and lids. The European IPX8 airtightness standard ensures that LEDDY TUBE modules can be safely used in aquarium conditions, also when submerged in water.

The LEDDY TUBE modules employ advanced LED technology. As a result, they emit the same amount of light as regular fluorescent lamps while consuming half the energy, which is important for environmentally conscious consumers and translates into considerable savings on electricity bills.An additional advantage of LED modules is their durability. Unlike the regular fluorescent lamps, whose light output drops by half after one year of use, LEDs can be used for many years without replacement, thereby saving even more money.
The LEDDY TUBE modules are very easy to install. Each model is supplied with special adapters so that they can be assembled into any luminaire. The modules draw power from an independent supply source.
Four versions of the product are available: two for freshwater aquariums (LEDDY SUNNY, which emits light with a colour temperature of 6500 K similar to natural sunlight, and LEDDY PLANT with a colour temperature of 8000 K, designed to enhance the growth of aquatic plants) and two for marine aquariums (LEDDY MARINE, which emits light with a colour temperature of 10000 K, designed to improve corals growth and LEDDY ACTINIC – 20000 K - for better colours of corals).

This line of products includes:BASALT SAND 0,1-0,5 mm is recommended for aquariums inhabited by timid, bottom-dwelling fish that prefer dark substrates (the fine sand does not damage their skin);BASALT GRAVEL 2-4 mm is ideal for aquariums inhabited by timid fish that prefer dark substrates;QUARTZ SAND 0,1-0,3 mm is recommended for aquariums inhabited by bottom-dwelling fish (the fine sand does not damage their skin);DOLOMITE GRAVEL 2-4 mm is intended for aquariums inhabited by fish that prefer hard alkaline water (such as fish species originating from Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, or Lake Victoria); the gravel stabilizes water parameters;NATURAL MULTI-COLOUR GRAVEL 1,4-2 mm, 3-5 mm, 5-10 mm will give the interior of your fish tank an attractive natural look.These substrates (except for dolomite gravel) do not affect water chemistry. They are sold in handy sturdy plastic bags that are well suited for shelf display. Each bag contains 2 kg of product. Before use, rinse the substrate in running water to remove any suspensions.

AQUAEL UNIFILTER is designed for the cleaning and aeration of aquarium water. The horizontal rotor chamber facilitates cleaning without the need to disassemble the filter. Since the filter can operate in the horizontal position, it is ideally suited for aquaterrariums and terrariums where turtles are kept. AQUAEL UNIFILTER is easy to operate; its performance can be controlled using the dial formed by the rotor dome. The direction of water outflow can be adjusted by up to 90°
The larger models, UNIFILTER 500, 750 and 1000, are equipped with a ceramic rotor axis for even quieter operation and enhanced durability.The specially designed filter media chamber prevents water from flowing out of the filter and into the fish tank during water changes or when the filter is removed from the aquarium e.g. in order to change the water or wash the sponge.
To facilitate the maintenance of AQUAEL UNIFILTER, we provide two separate sponge cartridges, which can be separately removed and cleaned in turns. In this way, colonies of nitrifying bacteria, essential for nitrogen processes, are protected. In order to provide uninterrupted filtration, it is recommended that sponge filter cartridges should be cleaned in turns and independently of each other.The filter can be hung on an aquarium wall in two ways: either the shorter or the longer side up, so it can be easily concealed behind decorations or plants
