Excessive amounts of Nitrates in a reef aquarium can promote the growth of undesirable organisms including algae and dinoflagellates while insufficient amounts can lead to starvation in which SPS and other corals will show signs including the loss of color and paleness.The HI781 Nitrate Checker HC is a handheld colorimeter that uses the Beer-Lambert principle to determine the concentration of nitrate colorimetrically. The HI781 is designed specifically to measure low levels of nitrate in a saltwater aquarium. The 0.00 to 5.00 range is ideal for reef aquarium maintenance.

Feeding:Perfectly Sized Pellet: For smaller bettas (under 1.5 in length from the tip of their nose to the base of their tail, before the fins) we suggest using Micro Pellets and feeding 6 pellets twice a day. For bettas 1.5" to 1.75" betta, feed three pellets of Betta Bio-Gold up to three times daily. Add 1 pellet per 1/4 inch of growth, never feeding more than 5 pellets at one feeding. Additional feedings can be made if they are at least three hours apart and at least that amount of time before all lights are out in the room. Where Can You Place the Dosing Pump?
Recommended:1. You can put the aquarium dosing pump on the bottom of the fish tank. If the liquid dosing pump is below the water level, you need to add a check valve.2. Put the dosing pump beside the fish tank. If the pump reef is below the water level, you need to add a check valve.3. You can put the pump above the fish tank.
NOT Recommended:It is not recommended to put the auto-dosing pump near the water surface, which may cause corrosion of the pump.

Fine air bubble
